During the week of May 12th – 18th, Yoakum Community Hospital joins thousands of hospitals across the country in celebrating National Hospital Week. For Yoakum Community Hospital, National Hospital Week is a celebration of the history, technology and dedicated professionals that make YCH physicians and staff beacons of confidence and care. “While there are many individual health care observances throughout the year aimed at recognizing doctors, nurses and other health care professionals for the important role they play, National Hospital Week gives us the opportunity to recognize all of our staff members as a team. No matter the role, everyone at YCH contributes to our mission of providing quality care and superior service to our rural community,” said Karen Barber, CEO of Yoakum Community Hospital.
The event theme “Celebrating Hope and Healing” is the centerpiece of a promotional campaign aimed at uniting health care facilities across the country during the May 12th–18th celebration. In honor of this event, Yoakum Mayor, Annie Rodriguez, presented a proclamation to the YCH Hospital Week Planning Committee.
