TAMU Offers Diabetes Education Classes at YCH in 2020

People recently diagnosed with diabetes, and those who have coped with the condition for a lifetime, can learn valuable disease management solutions through the Diabetes Education Program provided by Texas A&M University. The education team from TAMU host this class in Yoakum quarterly at Yoakum Community Hospital. These classes provide one-on-one nutrition and lifestyle consultations, as well as one year of continuous support.

The TAMU Diabetes team provides dietary guidance, exercise recommendations, suggestions for self-management and a factual presentation to dispel myths about the disease. This program offers a chance to gain a new level of confidence and the ability to take charge and manage this disease.

Visit the Diabetes Education Program at Yoakum Community Hospital, 1200 Carl Ramert Dr, Yoakum, TX 77995. Classes are held on the first Tuesday of every quarter from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the YCH Witte Board Room.
