Yoakum Community Hospital features a fully equipped 23-bed Critical Access Med/Surg unit staffed by accredited physicians and specialized nurses to handle acute illnesses, general medicine, and post-operative recovery.
Our nurses are deeply compassionate professionals who care for their patients to the best of their ability, striving to make any stay as comfortable as possible. Staffed 24/7, our team is comprised of Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Unit Secretaries that work hand-in-hand with our hospitalists and Primary Care Physicians to deliver gentle, friendly and effective healthcare close to home!

Yoakum Community Hospital provides the premier Swing Bed program in the Yoakum, TX area, offering private rooms, an exceptionally low nurse-to-patient ratio, and an advanced rehabilitation model delivering double the therapy time of standard rural facilities. Patients who no longer qualify for inpatient care but still need medical support, are a good fit for this program.
